Everyone is like "The Canadiens play too much overtime" as if getting to watch Caufield, Hutson and Demidov in 3 on 3 is a bad thing...

There have been whispers surrounding Shiann Darkangelo joining the Montreal Victoire since season one. On Saturday, she finally played her first game for the team and it looked like she always belonged.

On a key addition to Montreal’s leadership group and more from Saturday’s preseason game #PWHL
PWHL: Shiann Darkangelo makes instant impact with the Victoire

Quick first period impressions. The duo of Darkangelo and Murphy seems to be working very well. Abby Roque’s hands are really good. Maggie Flaherty loves to hit.

2-1 Boston after one.

Darkangelo scored for Montreal.

Mobley and Shirley for Boston.

I believe there will be an overtime after tonight’s PWHL preseason game and no it’s not me assuming because it’s Montreal and Boston and they always go to overtime. I believe the league has done this after every preseason game.

Season 3️⃣ (we won’t count all the others so I get to feel young, but let’s just say I’ve done this since the logo at centre ice didn’t even exist yet)

#PWHL Canadian TV details for the season openers:
Toronto-Minnesota will be on TSN followed by Vancouver-Seattle

Ottawa-New York will be on TSN

Montreal-Boston will be on RDS with no English TV listing currently available.

Hilary Knight is the first captain in Seattle Torrent history, and with that becomes the first PWHL player to be the captain of two teams and the first PWHL player to be the first captain of two teams.

But, I mean, other than that it was always expected to be this way...

The New York Sirens betting on youth was the easiest bet to make and might just get them into the playoffs for the first time....

*Looks at the last week for the Montreal Canadiens*

Well, the Victoire season couldn't come soon enough...

The Canadiens 2022 Draft will end up having 7 players who will play an NHL game if Engström, Mešár, and Rohrer get at least one (I think they do) and if Davidson gets one on Saturday (seems pretty assured).

That's ridiculous.

The Montreal Victoire are a fascinating story. The off-season was built for them (and all O6 teams) to fail. With some financial flexibility in season three, they built their deepest roster yet. A credit to the management and scouting staff for evaluating well. #PWHL

Glen Powell simultaneously being the star of a movie where he disguises himself to win a contest and a show where he disguises himself to be a college quarterback feels like two pieces of the same universe.

You mean the guy we kept saying had major flaws that everyone overlooked and needed more time in the AHL actually needed more time in the AHL?

Ottawa was the first PWHL market to truly develop a fan base from scratch, to incredible results, and the city's response is to cut their arena's capacity by around 3,000...

The league has already started using relocation buzzwords. It would be awful for it to come to that.
November 7, 2025 at 10:33 PM
The Canadiens used to be the team where if one thing went wrong, they would likely lose the game.

Now they’re the team that turns a 3-0 deficit into a 4-3 lead in one period.

Confidence. Skill. No panic.

Four Montreal Victoires named to Canada's 25-player roster for Rivalry Series opening two games: Marie-Philip Poulin, Laura Stacey, Erin Ambrose, and Kati Tabin, who will make her senior international debut if she gets into one of the games.

No Ann-Renée Desbiens on the roster.

The Blue Jays invested in their team and their superstar hoping for a run like the one they just had and while the hurt from last night is real, make no mistake about it: they won’t have a hard time convincing players to sign there for the next while.
