This weekend, the family went to M&M Marketplace to donate items for their toy drive. Then, we went to our local park and had fun throwing around tennis balls for our puppy. Being a member of a community means supporting those in need while also benefiting from local amenities.

My daughter and I spent today on the Salmonberry Trail as part of their #optoutside event. An 82-mile trail that goes through District 4 in Washington County, this project is driven by passionate volunteers for a great cause! salmonberrytrail.org

Tonight I learned about Forest Grove's 2040 Vision Plan at the Community Open House. Bringing community together to create a future where everyone can thrive is critical because our communities are made better by working together in the same direction.

I traveled to the East Coast for a wedding this weekend. I went to the No Kings protest in Philadelphia, it was powerful to chant 'No Kings' where the constitution was signed. Then, I visited some friends and family in DC and found a great quote at the FDR memorial.

My daughter and I celebrated HillsDOer Day together this year! An annual day of service for everyone, it's a great way to help out and be in community at the same time.

I was able to do a really fun "campaign" event at FG chalk art festival with my daughter. Thanks to Valley Art for such a great event (the corn roast was great too)!

Had a great weekend in the district! First, I joined Councilor Juan Carlos González on his sixth annual TV Highway cleanup. Then, I went to @orsenjaneensollman.bsky.social 150th community conversation. It feels good to clean up our community and stay informed.

Labor Day is a day to celebrate and commemorate how unions have improved our lives, from 8-hour workdays to the minimum wage. I spent part of the day with Indivisible Forest Grove and listening to great speeches by Juan Carlos Gonzalez and @nafisafai.bsky.social
