If OSL-LAX is on a single ticket, then connecting should be like an internal flight in the US, no immigration, security, or customs etc. Just get off at CDG and wander over to the LAX gate at your leisure.

My experience of European airports (Heathrow/Amsterdam/Madrid plus more) is that connecting is much easier than the US. I had a 3 hour plus layover in JFK last week and needed every minute of it. As long as the OSL-CDG flight is on time, you'll probably end up twiddling your thumbs at the LAX gate.

Sebastian's mother is thinking, "If I'd known what a stupid twat he would turn out to be, I would have gone on a round-the-world cruise with that money."
True story*
*That Sebastian is a thick twat, not that his mother really thinks that.

If they've left purely because we have a Labour government, then I've a strong feeling that we won't miss them. I suspect many have left because the visa rules for bringing spouses to the UK have become impossible for most of the population.

Given that the aim is to make a small section of the population live with constant anxiety and fear, I'd say the measures will be very successful. For RefUK, it's about performative cruelty, not problem solving. If the perceived problems were solved, RefUK would have no hold over their base.
