I saw all three Taken movies on tv. I though Taken was a dork ass movie for divorced dads. Taken 2 was order of magnitude more dork ass and 3 is the dorkest ass movie ever made. I can see a dad watching these teary eyed wondering why their daughter cut ties after calling her friends bunch of slurs.

Instagram has been pushing me a lot of art tutorials lately and the way artist advertise themselves sort of creates this really demoralizing sense of every approach to drawing being wrong? Using Multiply for your shadows FUCK YOU do this instead and the instead creates it's own problems.

The idea of making a live action Zelda movie is strange to me at a conceptual level. Zelda has always embraced styles that don’t translate well to real world. Like Tingle as a joke works because he’s a little too real of weirdo in a world of fantasy weirdoes. Imagine Tingle in the presented style.

Okay, knowing that there's a whole group of these assholes, makes Myles' presence more tolerable. The whole thing reads to me like "Bare minimum cinematic story" and was wholly unnecessary, but I'm not entirely against the idea of Metroid Prime npc's.

Seriously though. Having bumbling side kick in Metroid would be a bad idea to begin with. BUT even having a comic relief sidekick works if they can play off from a contrasting character, which Samus is not, because she isn't really a character but a player insert with a backstory.

Nintendo once failed disastrously an attempt at having players feel Samus' womanhood in Other M by having her be unable to function without a man. Now they're trying it again by having her be constantly pestered by an obnoxious nerd.
Watching the gameplay footage is so funny I wasn't prepared for this passage to be understating it youtu.be/192PgwSmU6A?...

I find it interesting that a ghost in a video game is a scary concept in a video game, but a really goofy concept in a movie. I wouldn't be able to take it seriously in a movie, but in a game I might for a brief second worry that the ghost is real.

I hope I'm not a downer, but I don't think you're getting Steam Machine for any less than 900 + vat. I think it's going to be a success in the same way Steam Deck was, in that it sells 2-4 million units to the enthusiast crowd.
Steam Machine 512GB: $700 (with controller), $650 (no controller)
Steam Frame: $600 (256GB), $750 (1TB)
Steam Controller (a la carte): $70
What say you all?

The way Valve has stated that the new Steam Machine is going to be afrordable compared to a pc of the same performance level, says to me that this thing is probably not going to end up in as many living rooms as some people seem to hope.

Playing Silent Hill and wondering what a modern game would look like if the devs still meticulously painted most of the shadows and highlights in the textures. No normal maps or any of that.

I don't have much, what you would call, a natural talent when it comes to making pictures. I could always tell that my art isn't as good as the art I wanted it to look like, but it took me a loooooong time to get anywhere. Every skill I have is a learned one. A brief thread.
