Only complaint: women’s hiking gear. If anyone has recommendations for TALL, waterproof hiking pants, please share. I grabbed the longest pair at REI, unfortunately they were not as waterproof as advertised. Hoping for more function-first women’s outdoor clothing from mainstream brands soon!

Hiking around the crater rim was my favorite part, although some sections were a little scary with strong wind and no walls! The geology nerd in me loved seeing so many different volcanic rocks.

Long-awaited dream of mine, we stayed in a mountain hut on the 7th station and woke up a little after midnight to climb to the summit. The UW MechE beanie had to make an appearance ofc!
