It is time for Labour to stop reinforcing Reform tropes by trying to outdo them, and turn their attention to the vast ocean of voters that the other main parties are sidelining.

And that starts with a strong sharp pivot straight towards Europe.

Brexit was pushed through by lies. The Sun lied about benefits tourism. Later, it printed this pathetically small apology.

The government should force all news media to print apologies for falsehoods in a form that makes them very visible to the public.
