Why is the 20yo getting a letter from the Reserve Bank with a coin in it? "I've never contacted the Reserve Bank in my life!" they say.
Genuinely well-played Rangahau Aotearoa! The survey was completed within 15 min of it arriving. Chocolate robber Dad was fended off.

The path of this weather is remarkable - that line is not moving sideways, it's moving *north to south*, like it's a stampede of wild buffalo and Auckland is Wile E. Coyote

I possibly closed the west windows after the horse had bolted (bolted into the house & chucked water every where)

You're so magnificent!! so powerful, so staunch, so impressive.

How many Faces Of Disgust do you think MPs are seeing these days? How many Faces Of Disgust does it take to bring down petty pisen-mean tinpot self-made gods? Is there a FODmap to freedom

AAAP's Agnes & I spoke truth to power today - look at us, of course we did, lol - against the bad-faith, vice-signaling, misery-guts benny-bashing bill. We're first up on the vid. Not sure Labour bothered to show up? @chrishipkins.bsky.social we asked for WEAG btw. www.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/scl...

This hits different from when Tracey first said it, way back in pre-Covid times. Nothing is set in stone. But the point remains true and accurate. The world is dynamic, and we make it happen. awc.org.nz/category/for...

This quote is from a 2022 AWC kōrero with @whaeadeb.bsky.social - yet it feels more relevant than ever? And it's packing so much meaning in! So tightly, so elegantly. Evoking so much context. It's both challenge - and reassurance that we're up to the challenge. (Going off to write a thesis)

Thanks Ganesh! I might suggest they lead with strengths/services/solutions *and* also reframe *progressive* taxes as an enabler, as a secondary message - but totally agree that not talking about taxes is better than badmouthing them as a total concept. (slide from @akwomenscentre.bsky.social 2023)

Enjoyable activism opportunity this weekend: it's opening weekend for Moana 2: te reo version... imagine if it gave the English version a run for its money!

Thanks for the tip! I love maps - and it's not often I see any that not only aren't tools of colonisation but actually centre mātauranga Māori.
Emily Karaka's maps exhibited in Toi Tū Toi Ora were a thrilling exception.
