@k8lister.bsky.social I’ve just listened to a fascinating podcast from Inside Health (R4) which included an interview with cultural historian Dr Kate Stephenson talking about the history of condoms.
This would be a perfect subject for #Betwixtthesheets !

I’m a great fan of history podcasts, especially #betwixtthesheets by @k8lister.bsky.social (funny, informative, often outrageous) but this weeks episode on the #magdalenelaundries has me reeling. Truly shocked

At the CBI conference.

Had a chance to ask Rachel Reeves how government can address working age health challenge.

She emphasised the need for a cross govt approach - work, skills and health depts - to help people stay in and return to work & underlined the importance of support for mental health

TIP 1: FEEL SAFE. Frances @francesmeh.reviews made a list of all the safety features of BlueSky here bsky.app/profile/fran...
one of the reasons bluesky works differently is because early users waged a successful fight to get the devs to prioritize safety features to protect communities at risk

as a result bluesky now has a suite of controls that i think are unmatched on social media

here’s the list, lmk what i’ve missed
