My heart goes out to the family and friends of the recent victims of knife crime in my constituency.

Today, I urgently brought this to the attention of the Prime Minister - to ask what further action the Government is taking to tackle violent crime in London.
I absolutely loved visiting Bellingham Best Start Family Hub in my constituency!

The passion and zeal from the multi-disciplinary team was fabulous. It was great to meet everyone, and to hear about joint working and the universal support for parents.

Keep up the good work ♥️

Huge thanks to the Royal Engineers for hosting me at Hudson House following the Lewisham Remembrance Parade

It was fantastic to learn about their work supporting our community and their vital role in our British army. I will certainly be taking up the invitation to return! #Army

On Remembrance Day, we come together to commemorate the sacrifice of all those who have served our country.

It was an honour to mark this occasion with our local community, including Lewisham's Young Mayor.

Lest We Forget.

Offering local support in light of the recent fatal stabbing in the area.

Hurricane Mellissa has caused havoc. Today I met Beverley and Joan from Jamaican heritage @St Laurence church - they found the info I am sharing below helpful.

The @FCDOGovUK has a crisis centre offering consular support and is assisting Jamaica.

75 years ago, the House of Commons Chamber was rebuilt following its bombing during the Second World War.

It’s an honour to represent my constituents in this historic chamber and to be a part of this commemoration.

Reports from the Royal College of Nursing that there has been a 55% increase in the amount of racist abuse their members report is shocking.
My mum is a retired nurse who, like many, came to care for the vulnerable and sick. They deserve to be honoured and respected! #NHS ♥️

Deeply concerned by yesterday's stabbings in Catford. Violence has no place on our streets.

I've been in communication with the police, council and key stakeholders, and I will stay updated. If you have information, please contact the police on 101.

Congratulations, Donovan. This is a fantastic recognition of your talent and dedication to the saxophone!

This weekend's arson attack on a Mosque in Peacehaven is a hate attack. I join my colleagues in condemning this abhorrent crime.

Islamophobia and hate against any religion have no place in Britain.

Today's scenes coming from Manchester are shocking and horrific. Violence has no place in British Society.

My thoughts are with the victims of this tragic attack, and with the entire Jewish community across the UK.

We need Britain to be our best and we are better than this!
