A twosome from religious org that shall be nameless told me the world was created 4 thousand yrs ago, pointing to a statement in their KJV Bible. When I told them Anglican Bishop James Ussher’s speculations from the 1650s had been printed in their Bible—not part of Holy Writ—they left in a hurry.

Shooting women, old men, and children point-blank in a ditch—a much easier call to say no, this is wrong—and a few actually did that. Firing on a boat from afar, trusting your commanding officer to know that’s it’s lawful & necessary— psychologically, anyway, that’s a different matter.

I guess a matter of taste about Macdonald but I agree about Hobbs—im thinking of one absolutely horrific scene.

Good luck! I’m so glad to be retired. Wouldn’t want to have to grade these—hard enough before AI with just ordinary cheating. But my grandsons are only a few years away from their own essay-writing days & I want them to have teachers like you.
