I write. I read. I am a tabletop RPG player. I also have my life managed by cats, guinea pigs, and my garden.
We've fostered three times and given a forever home to all of them. Here's a picture of our latest fosters. They're about five months old here, but they're now about six months--and don't hold still for the camera.

Congrats! I really get this. Jim and I nursed a baby guinea pig born w/o proper teeth through the 22 months of life she was granted. This meant hand feeding. Hourly through the day. We never regretted. She was happy. I'm glad you got an even bigger triumph. Here's one of my favorite pics of her.

Dropped the fosters off to be neutered. We'll formalize adoption when we pick them up. Before you crow "Foster Fail"... The shelter is full. And we raised these from sick babies. Economic crisis hits a lot of places, including pets being surrendered.

Pictured are older projects. Because I have this belief that just about anything is better with beads, I do that. These are each about 30 inches, and involve something like 1,400 size 8 seed beads. The current project mingles sizes which is proving a hassle! But looks SO good.

I have just decided to change a bead pattern to reflect the irises in my yard. This important announcement brought to you by Weekend.

We love our curve-billed thrashers. Can't resist sharing a photo from a few years ago.

I think I would like Bluesky more if so much in my stream wasn't reposts. And self-promotion. So I shall show you a guinea pig picture.

I forgot to post my WW over here last week... So here's a picture of the balloon that was featured. It landed very close to our house.

The week is ending. This is me. (Actually, our cat Kwahe'e, some year's ago.)

We had a lovely tree for many years, but there's a root borer that's hard to prevent and it was killed. We didn't have the heart to plant another.

Our co-resident hawk is back at the birdbath. Picture from a few weeks ago that proves hawks can do silly contortions, not just look noble and aloof.
