Sometimes you cast a hex, and sometimes you gotta be a little more hands on.

Oh, I see. You're a poorly-informed idiot who believes right-wing online bullshit. Congratulations! You're my first block of 2025!

Bye!

The SecDef doesn't lead troops at the frontlines, dude. SecDef is a big picture/strategic administrative office. The DoD employs millions of military and civilian personnel and has a budget larger than many countries.

Hegseth's experience as a Reserves FGO/Fox News chud doesn't rate.

"Politician 101" is having a clear set of policies and positions and holding to them. You're talking about politics and optics.

A politician can be good at their job without being polished in interviews or debates.
January 14, 2025 at 5:37 PM
You think some unqualified bootlicking Fox News hack like Pete Hegseth wouldn't have agreed with POTUS and sent us into Iraq? That's the position you're taking?
January 14, 2025 at 5:28 PM
This isn't "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington". Confirming an unqualified partisan hack to be SecDef out of some vague notion of "change" definitely won't produce better results. The idea that an inexperienced person will do better than qualified people in such a consequential position is utter nonsense.
January 14, 2025 at 5:10 PM
Regardless of whether you agreed with Rumsfeld or Austin regarding their policy positions as SecDef, they were both very qualified to hold the position. Both had long and relevant experience in leading and managing large organizations.

Hegseth has none of that.

Same.

Somehow that article kept building suspense and dread, making me increasingly uncomfortable as I continued to read. By the time I got to that part, I'd had enough.

You stand on the city of disaster, the Metaverse, where the Zero Understanding of Cultural Knowledge, what we call "ZUCK" locates. Nobody knows about what has been going on "ZUCK." You could hear nothing but deep breathing of "ZUCK." The only way to survive is…

He said that one of the major insurance companies cancelled all the homeowners insurance policies in his neighborhood months ago. I think he also said he doesn't have homeowners insurance because of that.

Buy the ticket, take the ride.
January 8, 2025 at 3:06 AM
How does that generalize to claiming I said "It's okay to disbelieve all Black people", though?

I didn't ignore shit. I just understand that there's no way to control how someone will perceive a fairly common experience for tall people of all races.
January 6, 2025 at 2:28 AM
Who am I selling that to, though, and what's the profit to me?

Generalizing my questioning of one person's motivations into a blanket condemnation of all Black people is a pretty poor argument.
