Per the 10th Amendment, curriculum and graduation is already under state/local control. The Department of Education manages things like funding for kids w/ disabilities, early childhood ed, Title 1, migrant education, federal financial aid, program monitoring, and prohibiting discrimination.

That’s fascinating. I would read a novelization of that story! I recently discovered that my great great grandmother was a US Postmaster in Colorado during WWII.

What’s a book on your shelf that you would say is underrated?

I find myself replaying memories a lot. I also daydream about images and places, real and invented. Sometimes I will put myself in the world of someone else’s novel to explore it in my mind.
