It is the only way something like the EU can exist. Allowing the big countries almost full control of the EU would clearly not work for smaller or poorer nations.

Just like with any system, however, sometimes it might not work as you want.

In representative democracies
the government does indeed not always represents the poeple's will in every issue. That would be a direct democracy I believe.

In fact in most countries the ruling party did not even get close to a majority and compromises are made in government coalitions.

Most likely just learned that crimes against ICC members can also get you an international warrent.

Running out for what? Because all I can see is that time already ran out and all we can manage to do is manage the fallout. The US autocracy is weak and should be manageable, but time has run out already on that one.

I was told that was what the second amendment was for.
December 6, 2025 at 11:23 PM
Acting like it is worse somewhere else is just a classic autocratic move. They use that to act like they are still better in the US, even if it got a "little bit" worse.

Even if Trump acts and shows strength they must reassert it's authority. Using their authority is literally their job. It is why the people elected them.
December 4, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Pretty sure you do not want to use a slow tank for that these days.
December 3, 2025 at 7:36 PM
That is amazing. I feel a lot safer now. Luckily there clearly is no evidence at all of Putin claiming this before invading a country and committing an insane amount of war crimes.
December 2, 2025 at 6:59 PM
What? Maritime safety has been threatened for years now. The only thing that changed is that it is closer to Turkey. Claiming that only now Russia's war threatens maritime safety is just ignorant.

It is shocking how many people seems to be just reading the headlines and not the actual articles. Then get all angry over what they believe is going on.

Read the articles people. Especially if you have an emotional reaction.

The money is still going to Ukraine. Just a different manufacturer.

The money is still going to Ukraine, just to a different manufacturer.

Verbal misinformation would be considered a ruse of war and legal. What would be against international law would be wearing a uniform, flags, or acting like you have a special status that you do not have (POW, Being wounded, Civilian, etc.)

Do you have a specific law you are revering to, dawg?
November 28, 2025 at 1:20 AM
And I bet also to the second to last Russia.
November 28, 2025 at 12:55 AM
You know what Russia. Let teach those “warmongers” and “war profiteers” a lesson shall we! Leave Ukraine and end the war. That will teach those warmongers and war profiteers!
November 26, 2025 at 10:38 AM
That is why diplomacy is clearly not my thing. Silly me for thinking that you knew ceasing to fire was a requirement of a ceasefire and not a concession.
November 26, 2025 at 10:23 AM
This does not even have to be the next president. Things can change in 2026 already. Sure, we still have to deal with a weak US president, but it might clearly show there is still a future for NATO.

I agree that Europe should prepare as if NATO is done for. However, I disagree this is certain.

In this context, what does that number represent? Does it refer only to active, full-time service members, or does it also include reservists?
November 25, 2025 at 1:39 PM
We are really going to do this dance every couple of months? Everytime Trump needs a distraction from internal politics?
November 24, 2025 at 8:53 AM
Yes, but I really doubt these are massive drones and most likely whoever flow it just landed it and left.
November 22, 2025 at 10:43 PM
Yes, this is indeed a war crime. Using citizens from the nations you are at war with in your war effort is indeed not legal.

Article 51 of the Geneva Convention IV (1949)

However, Russia does not care.
November 22, 2025 at 10:36 PM
I believe they do work. This is just more maintable. The "flowers" can easily be mass produced and damage ones quickly replaced. Whatever this will work I can not tell.
November 22, 2025 at 8:58 AM
I somehow doubt he can even satisfy a couch. So not sure he is even good at that.
November 22, 2025 at 7:43 AM
If Ukraine were to accept this, then the Kremlin would be the most surprised of all. This is not made to be accepted. It is made to make Ukraine look like the one not willing to go for a ceasefire, but for the war to continue.
November 21, 2025 at 7:44 PM
And if Europe were not prepared when the ceasefire does appear, you would, rightfully, be complaining that once again Europe is unprepared.

Also not magically. It is very clear Russia is not going to win this. Ceasefire is a matter of time. We should help reduce that time for sure.
