So overall, I think the winner played the game she needed to play and it was a good game, but it was not some crazy strategic mastermind game. Id consider it below average strategy

Now I get to be annoyed the Savannah/Rizo tandem are on S50 with none of the cast understanding their games

To Sophie Segreti’s post game interview points, this was valuable time that could have been used to develop more characters further (like Sophie) but was spent trying to show how strategic the winnr is EVEN THOUGH NONE OF IT EVER IMPACTED THE SEASON

Overall #Survivor 49 was not my favorite season but it wasnt terrible. I liked many of the players, and I do think the winner was deserving (albeit at times annoying, not due to her but due to the over editing nature)

This is what I’ve been saying to friends re: Polanco 1B defense. Even defensively challenged Daniel Murphy was a plus-fielder when he moved to 1B late in his career. I expect he’ll be a big improvement over Pete’s limited range and arm for run prevention

If you’re athletic enough for middle infield, you should be able to translate that into plus-1B defensive skills.

Example - Daniel Murphy, moved to 1B age 34 in Colorado and had positive DRS after years of subpar 2B

Biggest Surprise - chose Williams, but it was really that Carlos Sainz got two (2!!) podiums in a Williams!

Interesting to see on Becker’s @jon-becker.com matrix that the compiled ranking and estimated contract $ for Suarez was higher than Williams, i was very surprised by that
