I've been so busy and thinking about the general state of the world that I haven't actually had a chance to post any of my writing wins lately… Today is the #BIPOCWritersConnect conference hosted by the Writers Union of Canada and the League of Canadian Poets - something I'm really excited for!

Had a chance to quickly hang out with @jamiequinn-m.bsky.social at the Toronto Aros and Aces makers market at the 519. Thanks so much to TA&A and the 519 for holding one of the best COVID safe community events I've been to in recent memory. This is how it's done!

In my concerted effort to wrangle my posting away from being angry about the state of the world, I want to mention that I'll be at Glad Day Bookstore (the world's oldest LGBTQ2IA+ boookstore) reading some of my recent writing, to help celebrate their move to a new location!

I'm truly thankful to the @ontarioarts.bsky.social for giving me the opportunity this year to learn with both @nicolebreit.bsky.social and @rowanmcc1.bsky.social, through an OAC grant under the Skills and Career Development - Indigenous Arts Professionals and Arts Professionals of Colour program.

FYI for everyone out there having a safe and respectful Pride in Toronto: a sizeable number of anti-queer protestors have been apparently spotted on all corners at Church and Gould St.

Trans March will always be my favourite event of Pride Toronto. Where are the focus is the people in the community, not corporations. Where people young and old, parents, friends and lovers all celebrate their trans loved ones.
