to get personal it's the first full year i've spent out and queer! so many changes for the first time in my life - and at least personally it's been so beautiful and exciting and gratifying and i'm so hopeful for more. maybe we can skip out on the fascism for the next few years though. cheers!

comic shelves for the curious and brave!

a bunch of comics! doom patrol! a bunch of old thor, fantastic four, and nova volumes! kirby's machine man and ostrander's martian manhunter and star wars legacy and matrix comics!!!! and more!!!!!!!!!

the confessional! hellboy! so much new 52 nightwing! incalverse stuff (i lent my actual copy of the incal to a friend but pretend it's there!!) and valerian and ghost in the shell and so much sergio toppi. god i love comics

basically done? i want to put up prints and string up lights soon but as far as it being a workspace we've tidied up nicely haha

my closet, much better organized. i've got my table and my shelves of comics and records and my large format printer and even a lightbulb
more details on the fun bits in later photos

my knee-high shelving unit. i've got different size pads of bristol board and printer paper. there's a shelf full of large hardcover alex toth books including bravo for adventure! a bunch of ds and 3ds games. a few zelda manga legendary edition volumes w a koromaru plush looking over them. the obligatort bryan lee o'malley shelf. there's my persona trinity soul shrine (all 26 episodes on dvd - i was not able to source volume 2 premium edition years ago and at this point w tariffs forget it - soundtrack cd, and bagged and boarded art book). there's a large format printer i grabbed when the local officemax closed that i have lugged around w me for years

my drawing table with two work lights on telescopic arms, the stool of an ancient shitty $30 office chair, and a side table with a couple ink jars, a pill divider for speedball nibs, and my coffee

oh yeah, some design play i was doing for the actual syzygor for this. wanted to really break my established cartoony aesthetic the moment he appeared. big narsty guy

a gross, weird crocodilian humanoid. emaciated, with chitinous body armor. long toes, long fingers splayed like knives. black texture w green accent color on white background

this could have absolutely been pushed way further, i don't think it holds up that great, but i was trying to play with goauche and ink and i was probably a bit more skittish back then haha

arms fit with bioplugs thrust dripping from the ruby red amniotic viscera, grasping against a green background towards a blocky pair of blue eyeglasses staring down upon them
