So this economic “genius” believes that increasing demand on the energy grid lowers prices? I learned just the opposite in my economics classes in college. He’s speaking to the people who never learned the economic principle of supply and demand.

I do fear his response as the walls close in. Melania made a telling comment during the 2016 campaign. It has stayed with to this day. She said that if you hit at Trump, he hits back 10 times harder. Those are the actions of a malignant narcissist.

The Freikorps rose in Germany post WWI, a paramilitary right wing organization which eventually formed a significant portion of the Nazi party. Ernst Röhm, a Freikorps commander, later became head of the Nazi SA, or Brownshirts.

Using the phrase “defending your homeland” is reminiscent of post WWI Germany. An organization called Freikorps rose, formed by mostly right wing Germans. They were active participants in the rise of Nazis to power. Their recruiting slogan was “Protect your homeland”.

A lone person carried out an act of terror on US service people. In the past, there would be a clear eyed and measured response. And the words used might have been “consequences” or “justice”. The narcissistic response is always over top and angry. Hence the word they used: vengeance.

They care more about the ideology, but I think he will use the “insider” framing to claim he experienced all the things that reinforce their negative view of government.
