I’m proud of our team’s representation of Yellowhammer in this case and that paragraph.
Last night in my newsletter, I wrote about an important court case you probably haven't heard about. An Alabama group, the Yellowhammer Fund, helps women go to states where abortion is legal to obtain one. They sued the state's AG for threatening to prosecute joycevance.substack.com/p/a-case-to-...

Today begins my effort to more fully track new media again after a pause for self-preservation. Pray to the deity of your choice for me.

Democrats should be responding to all this the way Republicans would respond if Clinton/Biden/Obama just capriciously decided to shut down the Department of Defense by fiat. It’s a 20 alarm fire and the Democrats are responding like it’s a single matchstick.

A non-government business that contracts with the federal government received notice today that in order to do business with the government they must certify that they don’t participate in DEI. So it’s not just the feds, it’s any private biz that contracts with the feds. Here’s the message they got:

this is the "merit" two-step. first, you strongly imply or state outright that the presence of anyone who isn't a straight, able-bodied white man is unfair "DEI," then you argue that just because an institution is all-male and lily-white doesn't mean there is discrimination. that's just merit!

A federal judge has just ordered Musk to get out of Treasury’s computers. We are fortunate there are good lawyers representing democracy. Normally that would end the matter, but in this era there are legit questions about compliance & enforcement. We live on the edge of a constitutional crisis.

I don’t believe in ghosts. Last night my arm rest flew off my chair and at the same moment all my lights started blinking. I’m sure they are smart lights that lost the internet connection, but they stopped blinking when I fixed the chair. So maybe I’ll put ghosts to the “maybe?” category.
