That's because debunking doesn't work - it only affirms the myth.
There are numerous studies that show this, and we need to improve our approach to discussing misinformation.
We have got to lead with the truth and avoid repeating the lie as much as possible.

The advice states though it doesn't impact adult care, it does show how this is a risk to patient safety "across all age ranges".
It says NHS England will address adults who source medications outside of the NHS by the end of 2026, and as early as this year.
