For all the shit happening with the USG, I'm glad that none of it has touched the national treasure that is the CPSC social media team.

Remember when Obama saluted with a cup of coffee in his hand and it was a national outrage on Fox?

I'm glad to see that #Boulder city council is continuing to make it hard to do things. Way to go, team.

Literally the day after I get contested for suggesting that the release of the Epstein Files prior to the '24 election wouldn't have moved the needle at all, this gem comes out.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

Lots of people up in arms about Maine's Senate race. I think the bigger question is "Why is it hard to find qualified (D) candidates for statewide races?" Is it infighting? Capture of the Prof/Mgr class who don't want to give up jobs? Structural pushback from the party? Like, why is this so hard?

Breaking News: President Trump wants $230 million from the Justice Department for investigating him, people familiar with the matter say. Any settlement might ultimately be approved by senior department officials who defended him or those in his orbit. nyti.ms/4hmIi5X

This thread nails it.
I am again listening to Ezra like some sort of fringe Opus Dei zealot who believes mortification should be of the mind not the flesh.

He’s talking rural voters.

The guest (left) absolutely nails it and Ezra (right), of course, “finds it hard to believe,” then pivots to talking about his book.
