Stephanie Shea knows how to write romance y’all! This one was just so good! Every single word, every single page of this novella was used to it maximal effect to tell a moving story of overcoming life’s struggles and rekindling love as a married couple years after vows are said.

Another cozy Christmas romance down! Monica McCallan just knows how to write sweet swoon-worthy romance. So good!

Here are my favorite books of 2024! When deciding on favorites, I split them between 2024 releases and earlier releases.

What do you think? Anyone else read any of these and fall in love with them?

My fit for tonight’s work Christmas party. How’d I do??

My Christmas romance binge begins with a new release by one of my favorite authors. I loved reading Charlotte and Brooklyn's journey to finding love with each other again despite everything standing in their way.

Give me a number between 1-100 and I will tell you the song and short reason why it made the list.

My Spotify wrapped for 2024 days so much about me.

Between the election, TDOR, and a busy Thanksgiving, I had very little time and energy to read.

D&D Lego mini figure collection is complete!

This one took me a while to get into (mostly because of the world around us), but once I did, I really enjoyed it. Some pretty good trans representation, which is sorely needed in contemporary sapphic fiction.

Fuller review coming to my Substack later in a few days.

My teaching interns, many of whom I’ve been teaching for a year and a half, got me a new set of dice at our end of the internship dinner. 🥰🥰🥰

I know this feels like a weird change of pace from my recent posts, but my latest review at The Lesbrary is up! In it, I review “The Snowball Effect” by Haley Cass, one of the best books I read this year! It would mean a lot if you went and checked it out!

Today is a Transgender Day of Remembrance. It’s a day in which transgender people and their allies come together to honor those who came before us and mourn those of us taken too soon due to violence, abuse, and neglect.

“Cosmoknights” by Hannah Templer. Sapphics, in space, with swords. What more do I need to say?!?!?!

“Delilah Green Doesn’t Care” by Ashley Herring Blake. My first sapphic romance. I’ve been hooked ever since.

“Leviathan Wakes” by James S.A. Corey. Hard to pick the best book in this series because it’s all so good. Some of the best science fiction ever. I haven’t even finished the series because I’m just not ready to say goodbye.

“The Flight Risk” by Macon Leigh. This book broke me, put me back together, then broke me again time and time again. A stunning take on love and fate that everyone should read at least once in their lifetime.
November 18, 2024 at 11:47 PM
“Die” by Kieron Gillen and Stephanie Hans. A 20-issue “Goth Jumanji” story of five childhood friends being sucked back into a ttrpg inspired world. Ash’s story meant so much to me as I was figuring out so much about myself.

Been thinking about this @kristenzimmer.bsky.social poem since I read it over the weekend.

Wake up every day and declare war.

I read this collection at just the right time. It was cathartic AF and made me want to fight back that much harder.
