Part of me lives in dread of ever witnessing an accident or a crime or something and having the police ask me to describe a kid at the scene. "And how old were they?" Umm, somewhere between being able to walk unaided and being able to vote; slightly more towards the latter though, probably?

My favourite thing about that era was the car that you could "win" on 3-2-1.
It was a year's free rental of the car, after which you either bought it off YTV at market rates or handed it back to them, to stay within IBA prize rules.

(Physical letters sent through the post have a far greater impact than any other method of communicating with an MP. They're terrified of the implications behind a constituent spending time and money on an issue in a way they most certainly are not with petitions and form emails.)
