I'm going to build a company one day with adults - probably people over the age of 25. It will have a 5 day work week and at 5pm the adults will go home to their families. The reason it will win is because these adults are senior engineers, designers, product managers.

Just read about "AGI House". What a bizarre would I live in

Something I think would be useful for LLM coding agents would be "take this pretty complex over engineered code and refactor it to be cleaner, more readable, more maintanable" - but then it keeps refactoring it different ways like 5 times and gives me a PR with each version

"I returned [...] to help participate in the Codex launch. A week after I returned we had a (slightly chaotic) merger of two teams, and began a mad-dash sprint. From start (the first lines of code written) to finish, the whole product was built in just 7 weeks."

Content aside (which is excellent) this is probably the best designed website I've seen in a really long time

There's something about this that is really cool - I'm not exactly a massive AAR fan but they're showing college kids on campus who were probably in diapers when these songs came out how fun real music is - very cool

All the "AI calendar" stuff seems to be business focused. I want something for my personal / family. I want to be able to tell a text box what I want to do and for it to add it to my calendar, and sync with Google. Does anything like that exist? Do I need to build it?

Does the cursor team use cursor to build cursor
March 18, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Just chatting with claude 3.7 (thinking) via cursor on how to approach some really complex designs, and really using it as a really smart rubber duck - is really opening my eyes to the potential power here (it still sucks at actually coding don't @ me)

Twitter is like 90% AI slop now. Pretty crazy. Actually successful AI startup would be one that somehow fixes it so I can see content from humans again.

YCombinator used to be so cool. I used to really get excited with "Launch HN" posts and felt like YC companies were really at the forefront of tech. Now every batch is full of lazy AI slop, copycat companies, and get-rich-quick bullshit. Needs new leadership.
