Yes. MIS4 glaciation is larger than MIS 3-2 in the southern part of South Island. Further North t is present in stratigraphic sections in some Canterbury valleys but MIS 4 is inside MIS3/2 limits and therefore not preserved as moraines. See Quaternary Science Reviews. 206, 1-20. (2019).

What a tragic decision to cut core disciplines. I can't speak about others in detail but #Geology at the University of #Leicester gave New Zealand Jim Cole. A brilliant contributor to our understanding of our volcanoes and an even better person. No chance of this happening again.

The smoother area at the base of the boulder indicates the depth of soil erosion at this location.
