First game of 2026 completed, and it's Old Skies. Love a time travel story and had a lot of fun with this one. Kinda wish I hadn't rushed through it now as I'd like to have spent more time with the protagonist to be honest.

Crazily planning that this year I'm going to watch at least one film a day that I've not yet seen. Have no idea how it's going to go, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. Although it seems that I'm starting off the year with two rewatches instead. Marcel the Shell and Ballad of Wallis Island.

Time has finally come to move. And boy do I suddenly regret having bought so many wonderful books! Got three floors to carry these down. I also blame @filmstories.bsky.social for making so many incredibly big, beautiful film magazines which have taken an entire box on their own!

Silly clouds getting in the way of the view of Mount Fuji. I swear it's in that fog somewhere. Had to make do with a much tastier, and much smaller version instead.

In response to the Brewdog guy, Brits aren't bitter about people being successful. We quite like a good underdog/success story. However, what we Brits really are good at is spotting a complete & utter prick a mile off, & then making sure that we let them know they're a complete & utter prick.

Just finished Neva. And it made me want to immediately go back and play Gris again. Two of the most beautiful games I've ever played. I might be slightly biased though as I played them both at a time when these sort of themes really hit me hard.

Genuinely don't understand how these people get through life. I can't imagine being this miserable all the time, and also this sexist and racist. If these people are so afraid of normal looking women I really don't know how they manage.

I can't stop playing this game. So addictive just wandering around solving puzzles and whacking Fascists and Nazis over the head with heavy objects. Both this and Star Wars Outlaws this year have been superb at getting the feel of their respective universes just right. I'd like sequels to both asap!

I've always been a sucker for coming of age films. But I think #MyOldAss might have just become one of my new favourites. It's got a fun idea at its heart and everyone in it is just very watchable. Think I'll be revisiting this one a lot.

First episode of #DuneProphecy is excellent. Looks amazing. Incredible score. Lays down the beginnings of a really interesting story, and arcs for each of the main players. Can't wait to see more of it! Missed a trick at the event, not renaming the beer CHOAM though.
