this show must be a paperwork nightmare. one woman cut open her hand with an axe and they had to put up some lower third text saying “severing an artery in the hand can cause it to lose function within 4-6 hours”. could not imagine the meetings these people have to have

locking in for season two and the amount of Timothy Treadwell adjacent behaviour that feels like it’s coming up this season is almost shocking. I should’ve expected it honestly. it’s just missing the beautiful Herzog narration, I bet he’d have a field day with this show

the amount of men who had young children and/or pregnant wives was astoundingly high. imagine being pregnant and your partner saying “I’m going into the wilderness alone for as long as I possibly can. goodbye” divorce immediately. what are you talking about

oh man that first season is wild. the guy I liked the most won, which I enjoyed immensely, but also, what a deeply American concept of a show. “torture yourself in the wilderness for probably no money” is baffling

this is second only to buying fucked up freak fruit for $3 at the market
