I'm once again heading our bookstore's Authors Across Genres book signing event for local authors. We've already gone up from one day last year, our first, to two days and they're filled. We need this. Authors, stores and readers alike. You're so right that if we get too wound up, we'll seize up.

When attending a renaissance or street fair, I expect you to overturn any tables selling items not produced by a major corporation. This includes bead/wire jewelry, books, carvings, paintings, recycled trash sculptures, homemade jams and jellies, instruments, furniture , etc. 4/5

When you see a street performer, I expect you to take the cash from their can or basket and then destroy said can or basket along with any instruments, amplifiers, microphones or shoes they employed while playing, singing or dancing as we cannot allow unlicensed performances in public.

When you see a doll or quilt or washtub bass made by someone's great grandparent at a garage sale, I expect you to immediately set it on fire because we can't have unsanctioned objects made by amateurs lying around.
