We are used to the oral tradition. Trump can erase the Tuskegee Airmen, The Navajo and Cherokee Code Talkers, the Nisei Infantry, the WASPS and the WAVES from the 'official records," but he will never erase them from the peoples' memories.

Here's the thing Trump and MAGA don't get. Their modeling of elements of Nazi Germany and hegemonic Russia is missing a couple of elements. The people have to be either A) gigantically desperate or B) completely cowed. Americans are neither and will not take to attempts to make them so.

The thing about Trump, and other MAGA anti-luminaries, is that they cannot exist without enemies. What the people who vote for these sociopaths are just finding out is that even if they get their way, it doesn't stop with "those people." You HAVE to be next on the list. cue "First they came for..."

What's really sad is that some people with the attention span of a crack-addled hamster, are really going to forget that Trump and his people are the one's who were trying to kill Tik Tok in the first place, and they're rally going to think he "saved" it.

The Western Conference of the NBA is much more bunched than the Eastern. Is it mediocrity or better competition? The season will tell, but I suspect the latter. www.espn.com/nba/standings

Hi everyone! Just into Bluesky. Maybe hope to hook up to other independent writers at some point. Might start a page for that when I figure things out here. I didn't expect it to look just like old Twitter, but hopefully that will make things easier, though I haven't been on that since ERM.
