"Luffy isn't a hero", or "Luffy doesn't care about politics" is the main argument I see for "One Piece is not political".
But not taking a political stance, is a political stance. Luffy wants a world where he's free to fulfill his ambitions, AND where no one needs to suffer.

- Plot twist: Kaijus are clearly not the real enemy. They are man-made like climate change, and we should tackle their cause, not clean after them

I wish Robin had joined the Whitebeard pirates, or that Whitebeard's turf had extended to Ohara or at least Arabasta. There's so much childhood trauma in #OnePiece.

The Witch King doesn't defeat Gandalf in the books, but I've seen arguments about how he could NEVER do, as he does in the movies. Counterpoints:
- Gandalf being a Maia does not grant him power over others.
- The Witch King is a servant of THE RING OF POWER, designed to dominate and corrupt.

The Witch King doesn't defeat Gandalf in the books, but I've seen arguments about how he could NEVER do, as he does in the movies. Counterpoints:
