there were tons of articles by leftists early in the trump yrs re how never-trump republicans joining the dems were inevitably going to pull dems to the right. not only did that not happen, but those NTers moved *left.* yet no one has acknowledged their error on that front and handwringing continues
Harris is not making policy concessions to earn Republican votes. Those republicans realize the danger Trump presents and are making the endorsement despite the policy differences.

beyond everything else it is an incredible case of a guy who OD’ed on his own supply. desantis circa 2022 genuinely believed he was going to waltz right into the presidency, and thought it didn’t matter what he did or said to anyone.
The thing about DeSantis which I think most people don't understand is his political career is over. He could have lost, lost big even, and lived to see another day. But he's burned every bridge in Florida and the press, and no one wants to work for him.
