The whole film featured incredible art direction. The water tower was ludicrously impractical and unrealistic, but I didn't care because it looked so gorgeous.

It's funny how the scene came about. Originally they were meant to all be gunned down on screen, but the studio was so small that they could only run a few feet and then mime being shot and falling down. It looked ridiculous, so in the edit they switched to slo-mo and faded to the poppy field.

One of the most glaring examples of an incredibly ambitious script being let down by the show's minuscule budget. The novelisation for this one is fantastic, because you get a glimpse of the original writer's vision. Warrior's Gate came soon after this and is another example.
