Like sure they are not technically assisting in removal operations but they are very much assisting ICE’s ability to do removal operations, and the only protection happening is protecting ICE from civilians doing their duty to disrupt kidnappings.

To clarify, when I say “crowd control” I mean surrounding ICE/CBP during large incidents to set a perimeter for them and then beating up and arresting protesters, often while visibly coordinating with the feds on site. Something consistently seen on video and with my own eyes in Chicago/Broadview

I also think most people who believe local cops are probably speaking genuinely rather than just spouting nihilism. As a Chicagoan I spent day after day this past fall watching firsthand CPD and ISP working as muscle for CBP on the scene of incidents.

Asking genuinely here but what about the state police? I understand what you’re getting at but I’m also just trying to square that with all the videos of MSP running crowd control and seemingly explicitly treating the protesters as the threat.
