There is a discussion about accessibility at the town's train stations, including Green Park. Andrew wants to plan the town centre visit "before it gets cold". The next meeting will be on 21st November. He wants to invite the police, Unseen Aware. The town centre visit is to find out issues.

Rose Burgoyne presents, saying the scheme had to be scaled down, plans that were approved in Jan. The back of house has been demolished to clear the way for development. The studio theatre will be to the rear. There'll also be planting and outdoor seating at the entrance.

I'm at a meeting of the licensing applications sub-committee where hours for the Mosaic's Peri Peri in East Reading are set to be reverted back to 1am Monday to Saturday and midnight on Sundays. They had applied to stay open until 3am, but withdrew the app before a court hearing.

I'm at a meeting of Reading Borough Council's licensing applications sub-committee where a licence for Nancy and Marvin's Sip and Spin, which is taking over the Eldon Arms. They have applied for recorded music until Sunday to Thursday 10am-11pm and Friday to Saturday 10am-11.30pm.

Representing Wendy's is district manager Luke Atkins. The committee is made up of councillors Paul Woodward, Deborah Edwards and Karen Rowland, all Labour. The council's licensing team Robert Smalley and Tabitha Shaw are present. Wendy's is currently open until 11pm and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays

He offers to close the 'Vault' roof at 11pm to try and amicably resolve the dispute. Andrew Strong, general counsel for Sykes Capital objected over noise coming from part of the venue below. James says there's a pleasant mix of people. "The pub is well respected by the local authorities."

Licensing officer Robert Smalley states that opening hours could be extended to 1.30am, from current closure at 11.30pm. They also want to remove hours restrictions on the rooftop bar from 7am to 11pm. James acknowledges noise escape from the premises. He says there are 'Vaults' in the venue.

Dayna presents the subgroup discussion, discussing the future of the group. "We all agreed everybody values the group a lot. We will meet again in mid-March" the subgroup has been formed to figure out the future of the group. Everyone was then evacuated for a fire alarm test

An update is being provided on the community wellness outreach project. 59% of those attending health checks are from ethnically diverse backgrounds. 22% are referred/signposted to GPs for further assessment, 15% are referred to health behavioural support. Events attracted people out of borough.

I'm at a meeting of the licensing applications sub-committee. The 2nd item being discussed today is extended hours for the Alto Lounge in Caversham, to keep on serving food and drinks until 12.30am, and selling alcohol until midnight.
