The sound of silence. Enjoying a MTB ride on the trails in the Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island.

Yesterday saw a break in the relentless West Coast rain. I managed to get in an 80 km mixed surface ride. So nice to be off the indoor trainer.

First long Sunday ride of the year. 122 km of gravel with a coffee stop at Ed's in Lake Cowichan. What a great day.

I was woken up by the shaking caused by this one. Such a strange feeling.

On the ferry, heading back to Vancouver Island. I never get bored of this trip.

Snowy walk with the dog. Beautiful, but looking forward to warmer days.

Well, I'm not getting any younger and decided to switch my cassette from a 10-28 to a 10-33. Too often I found myself trying to switch up one more gear that wasn't there. #sram #cycling

New tire day for the gravel bike! Moving to a 45mm tire after being on 40mm for the last year. I've not used WTB tires before.

I love #cycling through the autumn leaves. Enjoying the #transcanadatrail on #vancouverisland before the weather gets too cold.

Winter has come. Indoor cycling season has started. To give a bit of movement to my rollers, I added in-line skate wheels to the frame. Much more comfortable to ride and more stable.
