Yeah, because windows 10 updates were perfect and they definitely didn’t release one back in the day literally deleting user files lol

For sure, once I get around to fixing the repo for the level editor addon it'll all be publicly available (albeit a bit scuffed at the moment). The biggest reason I'm implementing a level editor like this is so there are tools publicly available for the community to use!

Am I crazy or… was the one in 10 not utter dogshit? I think this is a case of us forgetting how bad things were

Also use version control!!! Always makes mass refactoring a lot less stressful if you can make a commit right before just in case you fuck something up.

Get a UPS. You’ll have issues like this regardless of your os if your pc doesn’t have guaranteed uninterrupted power. Ask me how I know :P

When most modern movies/shows have terrible audio mixing and modern tvs have terrible speakers it’s a requirement
January 18, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Yes, exactly. I think we see eye to eye here. There is certainly more nuance to it than just "voters bad".

I think this is a long-term problem and has affected the US for a very very long time. The education system is not "letting" voters make bad choices, that's just a fact of democracy. Anyone should be able to vote, and it should be the job of the state to educate people on basic civics.
January 7, 2025 at 12:06 AM
This is also not based on theory. You can look up stats on education funding pretty much anywhere. Most schools in the US, as far as I'm aware, are funded based on local income tax. What do you think happens to the quality of education in an area with lower property values (fewer wealthy families)?
January 7, 2025 at 12:02 AM
...on a state-by-state basis. If you happen to be born in Oklahoma, for example, you are far less likely to receive quality education. In that sense, education becomes an important factor to consider when looking at voters.

I mean I do think adults (anyone who is eligible to vote) do share an ethical responsibility to do their research and educate themselves before voting. I'm not saying voters share no blame at all. However the education system has also been kinda screwed for a long time, and it certainly varies...

This observation doesn’t necessarily have to lay the blame on individuals though. I’d say it says more about our education system and access to information than anything else.

Man I agree and all but why is this site turning into Facebook
January 6, 2025 at 8:53 PM
Nah. Get a wireless mouse with a charging cable. Don't have to worry about replacing batteries, your mouse just becomes wired for a little bit when it needs to charge.
