Habitat connectivity across farms! Yay! (and a bit more besides)

It's really obvious that cows in dairy farms near us have friendship groups, and those relationships are too often ignored in farm management practices. Groups of young calves 'do better' when they live with an older cow or 2 who can teach the young practices such as where to hide in bad weather.

Blue-banded bees are nesting under our house, along with teddy-bear bees. On a slope in Bellingen NSW. Happy, happy.

It's only the males that are venomous, and one of the delightful characteristics is that morphine won't help alleviate the pain! So be careful out there.

There is a bridge just south of Coffs Harbour that is successful. We've taken DNA samples of closely related koalas some distance north and south of the bridge. So clearly, it's being used by koalas at least. #habitatconnectivity
