Jesse, 18, he/him, aromantic/asexual, I talk a lot about Type-Moon works and Pokemon. I chronically overanalyze everything and have lots of crazy theories. Also I write sometimes.

Spoilers for basically everything I like, but especially FGO JP.
You know with how Richard is clearly involved in OC4 this is a little bit concerning to me now.

I'm sorry, "reconnect?"
February 4, 2025 at 3:45 AM
Okay I give up on making excuses he definitely fucking knows.

I know that's supposed to read as arc 1 finale foreshadowing, but... I can't help but think about how much that line might also apply to a certain somebody dying at the end of arc 2 who is very important to Mash...

HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW?
February 4, 2025 at 3:38 AM
Nevermind, it's occuring to me how blatantly Ritsuka and Mash's arcs are the exact same.

Because this is quite literally just about Ritsuka absorbing the curses of each Lostbelt so that she can someday give back to them.
February 4, 2025 at 3:36 AM
This paragraph is about Ruler Ordeal Call. That's all.
February 4, 2025 at 3:32 AM
Honestly, Ritsuka and Mash kind of just adapt the beliefs of those around them, huh? No wonder Mash is kind of a mess in arc 2, since that person she relies on is falling apart.

But still, if it's human to decide for yourself, what does it imply about non-human things that possess that ability?
February 4, 2025 at 3:32 AM
This line really does read differently after OC2, especially with the previous statements about Marie. I get the intention, but I don't know how to trust a single word from his mouth.

Then again, what does it say for a Demon God Pillar to be telling Mash something this vital to her character?
February 4, 2025 at 3:28 AM
I'll be honest, this being her default implies a lot about Chaldea's viewpoint. It's an objective measurement of good/evil based off how society views something, which we know clearly from later on isn't a great metric.

It makes me wonder a lot about what her perspective on the Bleaching would be.
February 4, 2025 at 3:28 AM
I need her to stop calling Servants dreams
January 26, 2025 at 2:31 PM
The idea of loving somebody being able to act as the "cornerstone" is interesting. I might be overthinking this, but it reminds me of Id.

Because he's talking about how Marie could've been the one to save them, but in Id the one who stops Ritsuka from choosing vengeance is Mash just by existing.

I feel like this definitely has deeper implications about our Artoria-faces. Then again, maybe I'm just prone to worrying about anything related to Artoria after Garden of Avalon.

But I think there's definitely something to be said about this "ideal King" archetype and how it relates to purity.
January 8, 2025 at 3:45 AM
I know it's probably not important but I do wonder about this. Is it possible the Singularities have existed for longer than we think? There's certain ideas like this or how Ritsuka has dreams about them that make me wonder.

But I guess I could say the same about Lostbelts?
January 8, 2025 at 3:11 AM
WHAT THE FUCK
December 28, 2024 at 9:27 PM
This is in reference to Apocrypha, isn't it? Except, Chaldea supposedly doesn't even have records of the Holy Grail Wars in Fuyuki, at least according to Roman in the Zero Accel event.

So how do they know about Apocrypha?
December 28, 2024 at 9:02 PM
I am a little deeply paranoid about this line.
December 11, 2024 at 1:06 PM
Also I appreciate them calling out Jeanne for being incapable of actual development, since she's actively denying the world at most turns. I know she's had a bit of development since, including within this chapter, but I do wonder how much that'll color her portrayal in Ruler Ordeal Call.
December 11, 2024 at 12:54 PM
It is really interesting to see how much they focus on this idea of how complete annihilation is a form of salvation. It makes me wonder a lot about what the framing of our Ruler Ordeal Call will actually end up being.

A Ruler with the right to judge the world, and choose destruction if necessary.
December 11, 2024 at 12:54 PM
This line here in Orleans also seems to imply it's not simply a function of the Class, but rather the position of "being the Ruler of a Holy Grail War", which would explain why our Rulers don't all have them in FGO.

But does that mean the Priestess is the Ruler Servant for the Lostbelts?
December 7, 2024 at 9:18 AM
Now might as well be a good enough time to bring this up. We've been shown before the the Ruler Servant within a Holy Grail War has Command Spells on their back, notably in the case of Jeanne.

However, that does make me wonder about the Priestess, because those look like Command Spells.
December 7, 2024 at 9:18 AM
Honestly, maybe the answer was in front of us the whole time! Fou's been able to Rayshift outside a Coffin the whole time, particularly within Fuyuki, because he's a Beast!

So, Ritsuka must be a Beast! That's why she can Rayshift outside a Coffin without issues! /j

I'm still quite confused about how the Mash/Galahad relationship is meant to work... because Mash IS a Servant summoned by Chaldea, but she's also human, so is that where your line is drawn? But then what about pseudo-Servants, who clearly don't follow the same rules, despite being the same thing?
November 24, 2024 at 11:07 AM
It's always been really funny how they flip-flop on trying to pretend that Mash is responsible for Ritsuka's Summoning System.

Because even in Orleans, the gameplay is canon, and Ritsuka summons Servants BEFORE they reach the leyline and Mash sets up the circle.
November 24, 2024 at 11:01 AM
Given the Trees of Emptiness contain "fake" Holy Grails within them, I wonder if the Lostbelts are meant to be some kind of grand-scale Holy Grail War?

Seven Lostbelts; Seven Servants.
Seven Crypters; Seven Masters.
The Crypters even summoned from the base classes, even though a few messed up.
November 24, 2024 at 10:57 AM
I don't think it's ever been explained why Ritsuka has dreams about the events of Singularities she's yet to Rayshift to, but it feels like there's some implications to that.

It's at least in some form important information towards Jeanne's character too, so knowing about it gives her an advantage.
November 24, 2024 at 10:54 AM
I know this has always been an element of Ruler, but it really does highlight what the Ordeal Call might end up being about. It's a class about judgement, because Ruler's are those with the right to do so.

However, the choice is always afforded to them to choose destruction as that salvation.
