This sanderling I saw yesterday hopping around on one leg is was a real charmer 🥰

I watched them for a half hour and never saw a second leg on the ground. It operated like most sanderlings

Not sure if they had an injury or were born that way. If any bird researchers have ideas, I can go back 🪶
