Hello I am Jalapeño, the turtle who lived. On January 15, 2025, I survived a horrible apartment fire in Chicago's Ravenswood neighborhood. I was assumed dead but I tricked everyone by hiding at the bottom of my terrarium! I am a spicy turtle!

The nice people at VEG Lincoln Park sent me this video from when I stayed there. They wrote "please enjoy this video of Jalapeño trying his best to eat us" and they are right, I do enjoy it!
