ICE has a student from the university of Alabama.
I feel sick.
How can we even protect our students?

Another word for "regulation" is...

"consumer protection"
"environmental protection"

"Regulation" means your milk is safe. "Regulation" means toys that harm your babies are removed from the shelves. "Regulation" means chemical companies can't dump waste in your river.
my kingdom for an elected official who will stand up and defend the fact that the government employs people to test wastewater and send old people money and keep an eye on the bears in the park and make sue the people that scammed you

Food for thought here, but I don't find myself agreeing. The transmission mechanism is 'do something to the state.... complex systems can fail catastrophically... the economy is a complex system... so it could fail catastrophically.'

This is what we mean when we talk about corporate greed: Starbucks gave its CEO $96 million for just 4 months of work. Meanwhile, Starbucks is refusing to offer a raise of more than 50 cents an hour to 12,000 union workers.

That's unacceptable. Starbucks must end their greed.
