- 101’ PL Mins
- 306’ ROI Mins
- 1 PL goal
- 0.84 XG difference
- 1 NL Goal
- 1.5 Shots per90 (🇮🇪)
- 0.5 Shots per90 (PL)
- 0.5 Aerial duels won (PL)

These numbers are average but they are in such limited minutes, to get 1 goal in 101’ Mins of football is impressive!

They’ll only go up with time!

I think Igor and Van Hecke have been excellent but there have been a couple of games where we’ve just needed Dunk’s organisation in defence, I think that’s very hard to overlook!

Ayari has had an insane rise and is putting up numbers to be proud of, and at 21 years of age, he is going to be getting better and better!

I’ve been one of the early backers of Ayari this season and that’s paying off wonderfully now, it’s really great to see a rise like this at Brighton!

You can also tell by the numbers that the physicality of the premier league is not an issue for Ayari at all, he’s turned into a defensive powerhouse and dribbles and drives through other superstar midfielders like they’re not even there, he ran the game in our 1-0 win over Newcastle by doing that!

- 0.8 Times dispossessed per game
- 2.3 Tackles per game
- 0.7 Interceptions per game
- 0.6 Clearances per game
- 1 Foul per game
- 0.3 Aerial duels won per game

These numbers are fantastic for a 21 year old midfielder playing his first full season in the PL!

Ayari this season has put up insane numbers, especially for a 21 year old having his first full season in the Prem!

- 9 Matches played
- 1 Shot per game
- 22 Passes per game
- 81% Pass success
- 1 Key pass per game
- 0.7 Crosses per game
- 0.7 Dribbles per game
- 1.2 Times fouled per game

However, on his debut Brighton midfielder Matt O’Riley got injured and was going to be out for months, along with Billy Gilmour leaving the club just a day later.

This gave Ayari the chance he was looking for and he grabbed that with both hands and is now looking invincible next to Carlos Baleba!

This led to more Brighton fans becoming incredibly optimistic about Ayari, and it’s when I made my first post about him having an impact here this season!

But we then bought in more midfield options in the summer and it looked like Ayari could have been on his way out on another loan.

This was a different Ayari, and us Brighton fans saw this in our pre season friendly win over QPR, where he completely dominated their midfield, and last season he struggled to match the physicality of championship oppositions, but he was showing strength, skill and power against a good QPR side!

This turned out to be incredible for Ayari’s development, I think he knew his own weaknesses now and worked on them all throughout the summer! He knew his physicality had to be worked on, and it showed straight away that he was a different unit!

People also forget that Brighton don’t send players out to get the perfect loan move for them where everything’s comfortable, we send these players out to learn and to adapt to these different scenarios, to see how they can react to a team in bad form, or a team not playing to their style!
