Lovely few days in Dundee and surrounding parts with @jakefraser.bsky.social and @iankey.bsky.social (ft Jake's camera work at the baltic Dundee Law). I love Scotland more than any other part of the UK and it saddens me to leave every time.

Spotify lossless audio has me back in a heartbeat. And day one lossless support on my Naim Uniti makes it worth it 😍

Getting to commute over the Forth rail bridge feels like a pinch me moment still.

Just over two weeks in to Scottish life and my new job, and I can’t quite believe how settled I feel.

You know you’re back in a professional services firm when the standard paper is 100gsm. Weird what little things you miss.

Packing is such an enormous faff, but having a confluence list of every box and its contents is helping me feel a bit more in control.

Think we might have found our house to move to in Scotland. Getting more real by the day.

Hands up if you remember local area networking like this?!

Something uniquely Microsoft about their email security system treating messages *from Microsoft* as threats. Honestly don’t know why I bother.

Despite the scanxiety following a CT scan on Monday, the metastatic mass in my lung has shrunk by over 99% in volume since my treatment. Fuck you cancer!

Regretting not screening the books I brought for my holiday reads better. One felt like it didn’t have an editor it had such clumsy writing, and one involves *crystals* to which only a Liz Lemon eye roll will succinctly summarise my feelings.

One year on from getting my diagnosis for testicular cancer, and I’m feeling healthy and happy, sat in my favourite bar on Iona sipping a glass of wine with the very wonderful @iankey.bsky.social ready for two weeks of rest and relaxation.

They don’t tell you when you get a cancer diagnosis that no matter how well your treatment goes, seeing cancer diagnoses in the news bring all those fears rushing back every time.

Glad to see so many people sacking off the bird app finally, time to try and rebuild the online community.

Absolutely fuming how a small number of our mostly retired members talk to colleagues. In a professional setting, it would have you sat in front of HR in a heartbeat.

Reflecting a little on how my career is pivoting of late, and how it aligns with what I see myself doing ten years from now. I’ve always eschewed fixed career goals and tried to stay breezy, but I’m increasingly undecided how viable that strategy is now.
