During Judge Fisher’s memorial at the Pasadena courthouse (in … 2021 maybe?), we were in the super en banc courtroom and the judges were so disorganized filing in and trying to find where they were supposed to sit that Judge Murguia joked: ~“See, this is why we can never go super en banc.”

It reminds me of what happens with clerkship hiring. Someone decides to go earlier to try to get an advantage, then everyone has to follow, and it keeps happening over and over. It makes no sense because early movers don’t actually lead to any advantage!

I don't want to be a stickler for grammar, but in this context I think "leaping bounding" should be a hyphenated phrasal adjective: "leaping-bounding." Precision matters when insulting someone.

Eric is the new Brian. (There were so many Brians in the last DOJ.)

Principles of patent law?!?

Where is that free library because tbh I could use that one. Happy to leave Five Chiefs in its place?

Ok fine but for 3L subjects, it’s gotta be: Fed Courts, Local Government Law, Class Actions

In this political climate, though, where people are going after judges and putting their families in serious danger, I could understand recusal to avoid that terrifying scenario.

Down escape or at DuPont Circle was out the other day. It was brutal. Pretty sure it was the National Guard’s fault somehow
