True, but there is a chance that we can get the most god-awful human beings on this planet to leave, never to come back.
We might even get to watch them canabilise each other on Mars. Potentially some excellent schadenfreude.

I once had the cygnets enthusiastically pile onto my kayak and start checking it out.
Would have been adorable, except that their mum had her bill next to my face, with a low, menacing hiss coming out while her kids played on my kayak.

This research is particularly relevant for Australia - the Varroa mite infestation sweeping across the national honeybee colonies is largely virus-free. If there are additional illegal #bee imports that bring in viruses, this will only increase the impact.

I would recommend a native bee hotel - all the fun of watching bees, but almost no maintenance.

Honesty what you are doing is more valuable than adding another honeybee hive - a diversity of flowers is the essential part of all urban spaces.

They are made by Australian company HiveHaven out of recycled plastic. Specifically designed for Aussie native bees though, so probably not suitable for overseas.
