Idk if I'd trust his characterization in terms of the minute but what does "provide $125 million in pro bono or free legal work" mean? Are they required to take on (or precluded from taking on) specific types of cases? How many billable hours = $125MM? How granular are the reqs.?

and regardless, Trump knows these firms will never let these actual documents see the light of day, so he's free to throw them under the bus whenever he wants for not upholding their end of the bargain

What do you think is going on with the remaining firms that received the EEOC letter in March but so far there has just been total radio silence (at least publicly)? I'm at one of such firms and don't know what to make of the silence.

I know Dems are terrified about speaking on anything remotely touching on immigration, but perhaps they might be able to grow a spine for this? Too optimistic?

Also note that the Court’s delay on acting on the petition means the lower court’s deadline has passed - allowing the govt to draw out disagreement about what they can or can’t do

Isn't the authorization of the AEA itself a question at issue in JGG? How does it make sense for this entire decision to be based on what's required under the AEA?
