It reminds me of this story of this trans woman who was trying to get a drivers license in Louisiana and was refused because she didn’t look like a man. You end up with these discriminatory no win scenarios because a system maliciously chooses to not account for you.

I think that a system that discriminates against queerness would discriminate against me regardless. Marriage to anyone of any AGAB could be discounted by gender or by sex. The discriminating party being able to choose as they see fit.

I think that they are too invested in a neoliberal world order that is well and truly dead in the United States. Biden was that opportunity to mend fences and write off Trump as a one time thing. Then Trump got re-elected and immediately fucked over every trade partner and ally he could.

Schumer’s going to be 77 years old when he’s up for reelection in 2028, so He’ll probably announce his intent not to run after the midterms and New York will have an open primary along with the presidential election.

The ringleaders of this circus, Senators Jeanne Shaheen and Angus King are 78 and 81 years old respectively. Lord help me if we can’t elect younger senators, god damn. King just got reelected last year, so womp womp. Shaneen already announce she’s not seeking reelection in 2026. So no consequences.

Did you know that only 57% of New Yorkers sixteen and older have a driver’s license? We don’t experience and aren’t prepared for how fucked transit and car ownership is in the rest of the United States. We don’t get drivers licenses until we are adults. There’s no required high school driving class.

People tell me how great their downtowns are, and I go there, and it’s like ten square blocks with a couple of bars that people have to drive to, flanked by highways. No one from New York is longing for that. A house maybe, but that’s what New Jersey is for. Jersey has trains, y’all don’t.

I honestly think that planned cancellations are immaterial when we start talking about three pay periods of no checks. At a certain point, there just won’t be any staff to keep these airports functional.

I think that enforcing AGAB markers on passports is conservative self soothing on the importance and necessity of binary gender. That it must intrinsically mean something. It’s a targeting vector more than anything, to inform authorities to the way the system thinks people should be treated.
