They’re all Nazis, but Vought is the worst - a true believer. Miller’s a sad, hateful little man riding Vought’s evil coattails, while Musk & Thiel just want to change the playing field so the non-billionaires know their place — which is to never question them & to give them all their money.

Clients are so powerful now that most software applications could absolutely run entirely in the client.
The SaaS model as a method of profit extraction is the reason it doesn't. It allows companies to charge users for access to their data.
From a pure computing perspective you don't need that.

Yes. This SaaS crap is such a look-you-in-the-eyes money grab. I design using old software that I bought in CD format and can download to my heart’s content.
