A JP-styled Psittacosaurus I did for fun. Ultimately, I think it looks better and more distinct with the quills even if they were only described after the first trilogy had wrapped (from what I can tell).

InGen’s Mamenchisaurs, likely due to splicing with Seismosaurus, resemble diplodocids. And the young are similarly more selective when feeding, going for more nutritious plants to help with speedy growth. #jurassicpark

This guy was tough, having to balance the film anatomy, baby ceratopsian fossil material, and referencing Patchi from WWD 3D as I feel that’s what JW would continue to do.

Masrani’s breed of Sinoceratops are heavyset and powerful animals, with Pachyrhinosaurus DNA in their genes.

The curious holes in their frills are thought to play a role in courtship, with males casting lights on the ground for females.

The tall dorsal spikes on Biosyn's Giganotosaurus reach far above its backbone, and serve as a formidable display for mates and opponents. The young lack this feature, but are far more vibrant and energetic.

Here are the extras for Apato. There was not a lot to go off of, especially pre-2015, so I sorta cheated and used the JP Institute Brontosaurus instead of their Apatosaurus. But it stood out a bit more given the other two.

One of the largest herbivores engineered, InGen's Apatosaurus are equally serene and mighty. Small herds spend most of their time grazing and browsing in the lush lowlands, and their trumpeting calls compliment those of Brachiosaurs quite nicely.

I’m a little late to the party on this, but Happy Centennial to Velociraptor, Saurornithoides and Oviraptor!

Incredible to think that, as of three days ago, it's been 100 years since these three were revealed to the world.

Sketches of three maniraptoran theropod dinosaurs from the Djadochta Formation of the Gobi Desert, in Mongolia. The first (top left) is of an Oviraptor philoceratops sitting atop a nest of eggs. The second (lower left) is a Saurornithoides mongoliensis with a small, shrew-like mammal gripped by the tail in its jaws. And finally, the third (right-hand off center) is a Velociraptor mongoliensis crouching in a hunting/stalking posture, with one foot raised off the ground, large sickle claw ready. All three dinosaurs were described by Henry Fairfield Osborn in the same paper on November 7th, 1924.
