I'm used to the birdbath cam picking up various birds including raptors, the occasional rat, but this was so exciting to see when I checked this morning!

Central heating has been broken for the past week and a bit, so I've been relying on a fan heater & electric blanket (on top of my thermals as I can't regulate my own body temperature thanks to POTs).

I moved for 10 seconds and Mabel immediately took my place 🤣

When I've got the spoons I've really been getting into birdwatching (or bedside birding via my trail cam).
It's hard to choose a favourite bird, but these are my favourite pictures I've taken this year, 3/4 from the garden.
